ATSON LAKE, ARIZONA

I think Watson Lake on the edge of Prescott is the most
underrated landscape photography locale in Arizona. A world of
granite boulders combined with amazing reflections and the occasional
"lone tree" provide compositional opportunities that are hard to beat. I'm not
a wildlife photographer per se but Watson Lake is also home to a wide
variety of birds including Great Blue Herons the size of pterodactyls
and Bald Eagles that visit in winter. Nearby Willow Lake
provides a very similar environment.
