San Carlos Lake, Arizona
on the San Carlos Apache Reservation

San Carlos Lake is a reservoir on the Gila River on the San Carlos Apache
Reservation in southern Arizona. With its rather bleak surroundings, I think
it's safe to say the lake is a better place for bass fishing than landscape
photography. However, with a little effort a photographer can certainly
find something worth shooting. I ended up focusing on a nice patch
of prickly pear cactus, enhanced by the colorful twilight sky.
