Ash and Cienega Creeks, Central Arizona
There are multiple Ash and Cienega Creeks in Arizona. These paricular ones are
mainly on the Prescott National Forest (some segments flow through state or
private land). Cienega Creek flows into Ash Creek, which continues south until
feeding into the Agua Fria River at the edge of Agua Fria National Monument.
All of these photos were taken in autumn when the many ash, cottonwood and
sycamore trees along these lush riparian areas turn yellow and orange.
