Bonito Park & Robinson Mt., Arizona
Bonito Park and nearby Robinson Mt. are on the Coconino National
Forest in northern Arizona. Both places are near the foot of Sunset
Crater volcano about 15 miles northeast of Flagstaff, and also not far
from the San Francisco Peaks. You simply will not find anywhere else in
Arizona with more wild sunflowers (Helianthus petiolaris).
A couple photos
on this page were actually taken in an odd sort of area southwest of
Bonito Park but they're close enough that I'm including them here.
