Mogollon Rim I
and rim reservoirs including Knoll, Potato, Woods
Canyon, Willow Springs and Bear Canyon Lakes
Among the many reservoirs atop the Mogollon Rim are Knoll Lake, Potato Lake, Woods
Canyon Lake, Willow Springs Lake and Bear Canyon Lake, all of which are somewhere
around 7,500 feet in elevation. Some of these lakes have colorful aspen trees as their
shores, and deeper into the woods, away from the water and roads, hide some of the
largest maple groves I've found anywhere in Arizona. Of course, if you walk along the
edge of the Mogollon Rim you get a great view virtually every time you look south.
