High Desert Between
Flagstaff and Winslow, Arizona
From I-40 (Route 66) in northern Arizona, the vast expanse of high desert
between Flagstaff and Winslow doesn't look like much, but the subtle landscape
is full of grass, tumbleweeds, low sandstone formations, and herds of
antelope
(Meteor Crater
is also in the general vicinity). If you like wide open spaces
it's a wonderful place to just wander to your heart's content.
