This isn't the sharpest photo in the world, as it was taken from very far away then heavily
cropped, but I'm posting it anyway because Crested Caracaras are relatively rare in Arizona.
They are much more common south of the international border and are thus sometimes called
"Mexican Eagles". However, Caracaras actually belong to the falcon family. I think the birds
look exotic or tropical, like they don't belong in Arizona at all, but their range does include
a small sliver in the southernmost portion of the Grand Canyon State. (not for sale)
