METEOR CRATER, ARIZONA
From I-40 (Route 66) in northern Arizona, the vast expanse of high desert between
Flagstaff and Winslow doesn't look like much, but the subtle landscape is full of grass,
tumbleweeds, low sandstone formations, and herds of antelope. If you like wide open
spaces it's a wonderful place to just wander to your heart's content. The photos on
this page happen to have been taken in the general vicinity of Meteor Crater,
but that's incidental and I didn't actually venture to the rim of that giant hole.
