Bar T Bar Ranch, Arizona
and Surrounding Areas in the High
Desert Between Flagstaff and Winslow

From Interstate 40 in northern Arizona, the vast expanse of high desert between Flagstaff
and Winslow doesn't look like much, but if you pull over and actually walk into it you'll discover
a surprisingly interesting landscape full of grass, low sandstone formations and herds of
antelope. If you like wide open spaces it's a wonderful place to wander. Most of these photos
were taken just north of Meteor Crater on the Bar T Bar Ranch, a mix of state and private land
open to public hunting and recreation (permits are available at nearby Meteor Crater RV Park).
Other shots were captured in surrounding areas on the outskirts of the ranch.
